Starting September 11, we begin a 12-week study of the book of Daniel. You probably remember the story of Daniel and the Lion's Den, you may even remember his interpreting visions for King Nebuchadnezzar. But the book of Daniel also includes several of Daniel's own visions, fascinating bits of Jewish Apocalyptic that have fascinated readers for centuries.
Then, in the Spring, we'll be jumping forward to the New Testament, exploring the two letters of Peter.
Each of these is a twelve week study, so our year will be a little shorter -- and, we hope, have some flexibility in case of snow days!
We'll be using new material from Community Bible Study's Engaging God's Word series. These books contain both the questions and the commentaries, much like the old CBS materials did, so we won't have an additional book this year.
